Bro. Millet- Speaking & Listening to God

The lord tells us in our thoughts and in our feelings

D&C 128:1 I now resume the subject of the abaptism for the dead, as that subject seems to occupy my mind, and press itself upon my feelings the strongest.

Too many times people are overwhelmed by their feelings, and there isn't enough thinking going on.  Answers are subtle and almost indiscernible.

If we live in a world of noise, it makes it difficult to hear.  Noise might take the form of noise within our souls- sin
Younger generation is particularly difficult to live in silence.

Boyd K. Packer- "It's a voice that one feels instead of one that is heard"

Behold that which you hear

D&C 88:66
Behold, that which you hear is as the avoice of one crying in the wilderness—in the wilderness, because you cannot see him—my voice, because my voice is bSpirit; my Spirit is truth;

Pres. Hinckley had gotten revelation at the temple, others were there.  There was an account written about hearing the voice of the Lord.  David B. Haight had read the account and said he didn't hear the voice.  McKonkie?? said yes, you did David over and over and then read him D&C 88:66.  He asked David if he felt the Spirit.  David said yes, and was told that was the voice.
